Amanda Walker Davis, age 74, of Marion, died Thursday, November 28, 2002 at Autumn Care of Marion.
A native of McDowell County, she was born on March 26, 1928 to the late Mack Farlin Walker and Mary Jane Hoyle Walker.
She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.
Her husband, Walter Davis, preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Haskel Davis of Lincolnton, Christle D. Honeycutt of Marion, Dallas L. Davis of Marion and Glenda G. Gouge of Marion; two brothers, David Walker and Clifford Walker, both of Virginia; three sisters, Pernie Sherlin, Mary Sue Willis and Ruth Mace, all of Marion; ten grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Patty Teague, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at McDowell Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at 120 Executive Park, Asheville, NC 28801.
