James P. Hewitt
James Pomeroy Hewitt, 82 years old, an expert accountant in the employ of the Consolidation Coal Company for more than 35 years, died suddenly early yesterday morning of heart trouble. Funeral services will be held from the home at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. The Rev. Edward F. Staudt, of the Christian Alliance Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hewitt was born in New York, where he entered the employ of the Consolidation company 52 years ago. He retired from active employment 17 years ago, but had kept in touch with the activities of the company until his health begain to fail about two years ago. He is survived by one son, James Dalton Hewitt.
