Initially diagnosed as Developmentally Delayed (DD), she was given a prognosis of low functioning. Chardonnay didn't always respond when spoken to, which brought into question the quality of her hearing, she had no words, speech or language. Her diagnoses was soon elevated to Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Being Non-verbal did not impede her ability to express herself, she was quick to create her version of ASL (American Sign Language). She began to grasp words when she was about four years of age. Her first word was "Baby" soon followed by "no-no-no", "cookie" and "more". Chardonnay would become known for her ability to recite the alphabet in reverse, Z to A, which she first did at the age of four and a half. Her primary diagnosis, ultimately, would be that of High Functioning on the Asperger's/Autism Spectrum (ASD), with Cole-Hughes Macrocephaly/Soto Syndrome, and Diabetes. With numerous secondaries, we simply refer to as "CA2's Alphabet Soup".

Chardonnay was very much aware of her uniqueness and was adamant that her abilities far exceeded her deficits, after all she had been defying the odds for a number of years. Her life expectance initially was not to exceed 10 years, as she was not reaching REM Sleep, thus her brain and body were never really shutting down enough for her to get proper rest.

When Char, would say to you "Can, I get a cookie" it didn't mean she wanted a cookie, cookie. It was her way of telling you to cut to the chase as she was getting board.

Chardonnay is a 2013 graduate of Variety School, she was recognized by N-GAGE and KLAS-TV, Channel 8 (in Las Vegas, NV) for volunteering over 1500 hours with the non-profit, Give me A Break, Inc, (GAB, Inc.) with a blue cord to wear at graduation. She was GAB, Inc.'s Youth Volunteer of the Year for 2013.Chardonnay enjoyed volunteering and mentoring to younger children during GAB, Inc.'s monthly Community Respite Program Days (CRPD's).

She also assisted with Kids Camp Daycare when she attended the AmeriFace Craniofacial Conferences, in Las Vegas. Chardonnay was a member of Project 150 Youth Advisory Board/ Committee. She enjoyed CBI's (Community Based Instruction Work Experience) while at Variety School. In middle school she tried out for cheerleading and was selected to be a Cheer Co-Manager. She enjoyed working in the student store at both Woodbury Middle School and Crestwood-Edison Elementary. While attending William Ferron Elementary School she became a member of J.A.W.S. (Jogging and Walking Specialists) she reached the level of Silver Streaker, she averaged 50 miles, per month. She enjoyed participating in the C.A.S.T. for Kids, (Catch A Special Thrill) Program, which gave children with special needs an opportunity to experience the outdoors/nature, that they might not have otherwise had.

She relished in attending Camp Malibu with the City of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation Division, during Spring Break. She would start packing for camp the day after Christmas. Every young lady dreams of "Going to Prom", Chardonnay was no different, between Joy Prom, her schools Prom and Prom-A-Paloza she attended quite a few proms, six to be exact, she even had her Marine Corps, Veteran dad modeling one of her prom dress selections. A real "Yes to the Dress and No if it wasn't modest enough" moments, Dad had everyone in stitches with his imitation of Chardonnay on the "Cat Walk", (He was a real trooper, after all he was approaching the 17th hour of his day.)

Chardonnay could recite the lyrics to numerous songs, as well as various episodes of her favorite TV shows and/or movies, She would often paraphrase President Andrew Sheppard's speech from the Movie "The American President" with "Bob (or whatever your name is) your 15 minutes are up, My name is Chardonnay Adams-Ambre and I am The Princess/President". She loved shopping, the movie Shop-a-holic had nothing on her, Crimson and Purple were her favorite colors.

Chardonnay was a very caring and compassionate individual, she enjoyed helping others. As a 5-year-old she used to collect the "Have you seen me' postcards of missing children, that came in the mail with supermarket circulars. She would not permit you to discard any duplicates as she felt that, if you did, it would reduce the possibility that, that child would be found, you had to post the extras on the board at the supermarket, to ensure others saw them. Chardonnay was EXTERMLY passionate about her desire to adopt children with special needs. She compiled an album of profiles from various agencies websites and community events of the eight children she was interested in providing a "Forever Home" for. She expressed her sincere interest to the respective agencies regarding adopting them. She didn't stop there, Chardonnay also contacted various real estate agents to assist her in securing the best house for "her kids" and (her) in-home office for her event planning business, - wedding's, birthday's sweet sixteen's / quinceañera's, whatever your event was she had it

Chardonnay was a very passionate University of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Fan, her Southern Belle maternal grandmother, "Grandma Joy", introduced her to the Crimson Tide. Super Crimson Tide fan and native of "T-Town"/Tuscaloosa (Alabama), Ms Gentris Montgomery affectionately known as Ms "G" one of the awesome paraprofessionals, she interacted with, introduced her to "The High Rolling Tide in Las Vegas Alumni Chapter of the University of Alabama". Where she was Welcomed with open arms, she really enjoyed attending "Game Day" festivities, with them at Miller's Alehouse. Ms "G" and Chardonnay could be heard singing Ray Johnston Band's "Crimson and White", yelling "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer"
and sporting their Crimson and White, Game Day Swag EVERYDAY!!! Greeting everyone with a Smile and Roll Tide!!!

Chardonnay's favorite professional sports teams were the Denver Broncos, the Houston Tex-a-kins (Texans) as she called them, the Minnesota Vikings – a purple thing I'm sure, the Philadelphia Eagles,
the Vegas Golden Knights and the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Champions – Mixed Martial Arts) Chardonnay got a kick out of waking up her dad military style, especially if he wasn't up and at the ready by 0700 (7:00am) on Saturday mornings, for their day in the community, she had no problem going to YouTube and playing various versions of reveille or her favorite cadence - One, Two, Three, Four United States Marine Corps… She was very proud to be the daughter of a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Veteran, granddaughter of a United States Air Force (USAF) Veteran, and great granddaughter of a United States Army-Air Corps (USA) Veteran.

If you ever found yourself on the wrong side of her you were most likely banished to the Brig, which was located on the Sea Shores of Ole Mexico. Where you would be listening to George Strait, with a Virgin Margarita and unlimited cookies.

Chardonnay set out to teach the world that all that really mattered was ONES Abilities and willingness, not their deficits/disabilities. She inspired others to be all they could be and not limit themselves. Chardonnay enjoyed volunteering with Lutheran Social Services.

How Chardonnay got her name - As a young girl Chardonnay's, Mom, Scherrie, was blessed to spend her formative years in Europe, specifically, France as her father was a member of the U.S. Air Force in Europe (USAFE). The village (town) of Chardonnay was where Scherrie's Girl Scout Troop often interacted with their French counterparts as well as held campouts. To keep the memories of her adopted homeland close, Scherrie incorporated the names of a few of her favorite places (in France) in her children's names. The village of Chardonnay is situated in the Saone-et-Loire department and Burgundy region, in the eastern-center of France it is 23 kilometers from Mâcon, the department capital and 321 kilometers from Paris. When people would ask her, if she was named after the wine? She was quick to educate them as to her name's origin. Most times accompanied by eye roll.
