Kathleen Drake Earls Ballard, age 98, of Fayetteville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 18, 2019.
She was born on December 16, 1920, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Dillard and Ada (Davidson) Drake.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William A. “Bill” Earls in 1961; her second husband, Lee “Roy” Ballard in 1996; her stepson, John L. Ballard; her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Georgia Drake.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Linda Ann Earls Lohmar and husband Bill, and Kathy Earls Edens and husband Len, both of Fayetteville; one stepson, Stephen Ballard and wife Nancy of Fayetteville; one step daughter-in-law, Kay Ballard of Naples, Florida; eight grandchildren, Hans Lohmar, Eric Lohmar and wife Gayle, Brook Edens Fulcher and husband Jesse, Andrea Edens Knight and husband Josh, Slate Ballard and wife Rachel, Dylan Ballard and wife Katie Jo, Jared Ballard and wife Sarah, and Drew Ballard; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was a sweet, kind, caring, Christian woman who loved her Savior and her family with all her heart. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville. A private family burial will be held at Buckner Cemetery in Fayetteville.
