DETROIT, Mich. —Mrs. Anna Ruth Adams, 76, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Chapmanville, was born December 2, 1936, at Godby Branch, Chapmanville, a daughter of the late Julius and Gracie Jordan Farley. She departed this life Friday, September 7, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Lucian Dee Adams; two sons, Lucian Dee Adams Jr. and David Lee Adams; two brothers, Julius Farley Jr., and Johnny Farley and four sisters, Nancy Vance, Carol Wellman and Allene and Lilly Farley.

Anna was known as Granny to everyone and loved by many. She enjoyed going camping and to Bluegrass festivals with her husband and family and deeply loved spending time with grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Ron) Pranger; son, Ronnie (Jackie) Adams of Lincoln Park, Mich.; grandchildren, Danny, David (Christie), Deanna (Adam), Jessica, Eddie (Linda) and Lori; great-grandchildren, Eric, Katie, David, Gracie, Danny Dee, Zayra, Roxyana, Jason, Nathan, Zach, Jaxson, Logan and Keaton; two brothers-in-law, Mitch Adams and Delany Wellman; seven sisters-in-law, Geraldine Dempsey, Gail Moore, Peggy (Ervin) Morris, Loretta Wolf, Mary Lynn Bazzilla, Sue Adams and Linda Farley; two special nieces, Tammy and Brianna Stollings of Harts; one special nephew, Eddie (Samantha) Adams of Harts and a host of many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Greg Mullins, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery at Hoover Fork of Harts.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
