Daughter of Israel and Paula Cruz. Lorena was preceded in death by her brother, Candido G. Cruz. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Glenn Alexander; parents Israel and Paula Cruz; grandmother, Consuelo Dragustinovis; step-son, Brandon Alexander; sister, Rosario Cruz; brothers, Israel Cruz Jr., Lauro G. Villarreal, Onorio G. Villarreal; nephew, Larry Villarreal Jr., nieces, Roseanna Cruz, Nicole Cruz, Michelle Cruz,; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Lorena died as a result of the BP Amoco Explosion in Texas City, Texas. She had resigned her job in the JE Merit office at the BP plant and it was to be her final week. Remembered as outgoing and full of life, Cruz worked at the plant with her husband, Glenn Alexander, who was not injured.
