Charles Duffy Parkhurst was born on 1 October 1873 in Oneida Indian Reservation, Outagamie County, WI. He married Agnes Delory daughter of Theofield De Lfuia, circa 1901 as his first wife.

He married Nora Geraldine Martinez, daughter of Manuel Louis Martinez and Mary unknown, circa 1913 as his second wife.

He died on 21 April 1952 in Red Lake Indian Hospital, Redlake, Beltrami County, MN, at age 78 from chronic nephritis.

He was buried on 24 April 1952 in Redlake Catholic Cemetery, Redlake, Beltrami County, MN.

He was also known as Charles Douglas "Duffy" Parkhurst. He was enumerated during the 1910 Census on 25 April 1910 at U.S. Indian Industrial School, Genoa Twp., Nance Co., NE, included in Charles' 1910 census household: Agnes Delory, Earl Joshua Parkhurst, Carl Llewellyn Parkhurst, and Agnes G. Parkhurst.He was an employee of the school on 25 April 1910. He was a farmer on 24 March 1913. He was enumerated during the 1920 Census on 13 April 1920 at Twp. 41 Range 44, Washington County, SD.

He was held a civil service job working for the Indian Department and paid $15 per month for rent on 8 April 1930.
