Rev. Lula B. Collins of the Vago Community, Frankford, went to be with her Lord on Monday September 2, 2019 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

She was born December 22, 1925 on Boone Mountain in the Vago Community of Frankford and was the daughter of the late Andrew Lee and Ada Virginia Boone Yates.

She was a member of Emmanuel Open Bible Church and the former Neal Chapel Church in Vago.
Lula became a licensed minister on January 18, 1957. Her ministry was carried out over 62 years starting at Neal Chapel and then retiring from Emmanuel Open Bible Church.

Preceding Pastor Collins in death other than her parents were sisters Little Bea, Ruth, Annabel Hughes and Betty Hughes and her brother Eck Yates.

Surviving are her sister Phyllis Dotson of Frankford; nieces and nephews, Wanda Hughes (deceased), Donna Huffman (deceased), Mitchell Hughes, Mark Hughes, Pam Yates, Alexix Gebron, Mike Dotson and Linda Stacy (deceased); great and great great nieces and nephews, Scarlette Clarkson, Brayden Doss, Jade Yates, Travis Dotson, Ashley Johnson, Nikki Dotson, Tommi Stacy, Katie Stewart, James Perry (deceased), Scott Huffman, Legend Huffman, Hanley and Jada Johnson.

Funeral services were held on Thursday September 5, 2019 at the Emmanuel Open Bible Church on Vago Road with Pastor Gary Devart, Pastor Hat Defibaugh and Pastor Aaron Hodge officiating with interment to follow at Lewis Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.
