In fond memory of our Mother Linda Williams. She passed this week at age 74.
She was cared for by her grown Children and their loving families at home in Mt Vernon – surrounded by Love and her grandchildren, in-laws, and Sons.
Born August 22, 1945 in Seattle to her Father – Eugene Sharpe (a State Farm Insurance Agent, eventually for 39yrs), and Mother – Loreen, (worked at the local Market at the time– Lamont’s).
At 18yrs old, Linda graduated High School, married her love, Pat McMullen (later became a Lawyer and WA State Senator), and gave birth to her 1st baby – son, Scott. 2 ½ yrs later had Son – Todd, and another 2 ½ yrs. later had her daughter – Laurie in 1970. Then the family had moved to Skagit Valley where Linda stayed at home to care for her little ones.
She proved to be a Great Mom. and a meticulous Housekeeper.
13yrs of Marriage ended in divorce and Linda went to work to help support her family.
In 1978, Linda remarried to Lawrence Williams (a Coast Guardsman) which lent the situation of adventure to live in other areas – Monterey, CA; Alexandria, Virginia; and Governor’s Island, New York.
Linda went onto work 25yrs as an Executive Assistant for WA State 4H Director at the WSU (Washington State University), Puyallup Research branch.
She is survived by her 3 Adult children – Scott (Mt Vernon), Todd (Poulsbo), and Laurie (Lake Elsinore, CA); 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and her 3 Siblings – Sisters Janet (Bothell) & Joan (Tacoma), and brother – Ken (Seasonal travels, WA)
Mom’s very outgoing nature and sweet spirit will live in our hearts forever.
