Born in Jackson county, a daughter of the late Joseph and Arie Elizabeth Snodgrass Sommerville, she was a member of the First Christian Church, the Kings Daughters Class of that church and had been a resident of Parkersburg for the past 57 years.
Survivors include one son, Audra Archer, Parkersburg, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Carson, Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. Rae Hickman, Parkersburg and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Y. Archer, and by one daughter, Helen Ruth.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
