Professional Football Player. For eight seasons (1971 to 1978), he played at the offensive tackle position in the National Football League with the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions. Born Donald Gerard Green, he was raised in Virginia where he played football and basketball at Crestwood High School. He played collegiate football at Purdue University and achieved All American honors in 1970. Selected by the Buffalo Bills during the 1970 NFL Draft, he totaled 92 career regular season games. Along with Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure, and Reggie McKenzie, Green formed the Bills' offensive line nicknamed "The Electric Company" who provided blocking for O.J. Simpson.
