Bettye Annette Adams, age 80, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 in Murfreesboro.
Bettye was born on November 29, 1938 in Wilson Co., TN and was the daughter of the late William James and Hallie Davis Jones.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 62 years Dorman Adams; daughters Janet Adams, Sandra (Greg) Pinson, Connie (Jim) Pruitt and Angie (Mark) Brown; brother Howard( Carol) Jones (Charleston, SC); sisters Dorothy Collier (Memphis), Nancy Milliken (Woodbury),Virginia Moyers (Fayetteville); grandchildren CJ (Kristen) Fowler, Eric (Nina) Fowler, Chad Adams, Jessica Acree, Hannah Brown, James (Jessica) Pinson, Will (April) Pinson, Jaron ( Courtney) Pruitt and Kelli Pruitt; great grandchildren Brook,Evie,Izzy,Olivia,Joe,Miles,Jacob,Marley,Caroline,Elle,Lylah,Brady,Emma Leigh, Jaxon and Alaina Grace.
Services to celebrate Bettye’s life will be at Two O’clock on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Bettye was employed by Singer Company for 43 years where she made lifelong friends. Mrs. Adams enjoyed gardening, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Bettye always put others before herself and loved having talks with friends over a good cup of coffee or tea.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents Will and Hallie Jones; brothers George, Jesse, Johnny and Buddy; sisters Ruby, Willie Mae, Lola, Evelyn, June and Myrna.
