Judith Lynn Leach

Judy Desser-Leach, 82, beloved and devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, was born on April 14, 1935 in Los Angeles and passed away peacefully at home on April 21st surrounded by family and friends.
Judy was a second generation native Angelino born to Arthur and Ida Desser. She attended Genessee Elementary School, North Hollywood Junior and Senior High School, UCLA and earned a degree from Stephens College. Judy married Bernard Siderman of Los Angeles and moved to Miami where they had three boys. Upon Bernie's death in 1964, Judy moved her family to New York City where she met and married her 2nd husband Robin Leach, in 1968.
After their divorce in 1975, she then returned to her beloved Los Angeles with her three sons and ventured into a successful real estate career, actively representing her friends and clients until her passing. Her love, vivacious personality, honesty, respect and a "tell it like it is" attitude are just a few of the many endearing qualities that her family, friends and colleagues will miss dearly. She was a beautiful, compassionate and thoughtful woman who loved her family and friends deeply.
Judy is survived by her three loving sons, Steven (Shannon), Rick, and Gregg (Cara), four adoring grandchildren: Jack, Meg, Brandon and Gianna, niece Gigi (Jason), their children Brett and Hannah, ex-husband Robin Leach, sisters Laurel, Susie and Cindy, and a long list of relatives and near and dear friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Bernard Siderman, sister Dorothy Bayley, brother Keith Desser and nephew Brett Bayley. Surrounded by close friends and family during her final weeks, among the stories and memories shared, her sons reminded her of how proud they are of her, how she has been a role model for them - living a life of integrity, responsibility and honesty - and how these values continue to shape their lives. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, family and friends whose lives have been touched by her grace and compassion.
