Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Irene Mayfield, 81, R.1,
Lanesville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dieckmann Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Antioch
Cemetery, Harrison County. She died at 6:10 a.m. Sunday at
Floyd County Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Leavenworth and was the former Martha Irene Mix. She was a
member of the United Methodist Church, Leavenworth. Surviving are three sons, George, William and Lawrence Mayfield, all of Lanesville; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille
Stewert, Salem, Mrs. Lorraine Richert and Mrs. Doris Taylor,
both of Lanesville, and Mrs. Pauline Chaffin, New Albany;
25 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
