Professional Football Player. For five seasons (1975 to 1979), he played at the wide receiver position in the National Football League with the Denver Broncos. Born John Tice Dolbin, he attended Pottsville High School in Pennsylvania where he made his initial mark on the football field in addition to playing basketball and field and track. He continued his athletics at Wake Forest University where he was a standout sprinter, as well as excelling on the football squad. He played with the Pottstown Firebirds of the Atlantic Coast Football League and later the Schuylkill County Coal Crackers of the Seaboard Football League, prior to playing professionally with the Chicago Fire of the World Football League. Signed as a non drafter player by the Denver Broncos, he played 62 career regular season games. Dolbin experienced an AFC Championship Title (1977) with Denver and caught two passes during Super Bowl XII (1978). After retiring from football, he became a practicing chiropractor. He died from cancer.
