Actress. Best known as the voice of Minnie Mouse, she voiced characters in over 196 television series, movies, and video games from 1980 to 2019. Her first role was Strawberry Shortcake in the 1980 television movie "The World of Strawberry Shortcake" and the television series "Strawberry Shortcake." She competed with over 200 actors before landing the role of Minnie Mouse in 1986. She continued as the voice of Minnie until her death, notably appearing in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas," and the most recent Disney television series, "Mickey and the Roadster Racers." Her Disney career encompassed other characters as she also did the voices of Donald Duck's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie; Nurse Mouse in the 1990 movie "The Rescuers Down Under;" and various characters in the Disney television series adapted from their blockbuster films "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin." Other appearances included various roles in the television series "My Little Pony," "The Smurfs," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and "The Simpsons." She voiced Duchess the Cat in the 1995 film "Babe," Donald Duck in "Fantasia 2000," and Martin Prince in "The Simpsons Movie." She is quoted in numerous articles as stating, "I never wanted to be famous. The characters I do are famous, and that's fine for me." She was married to Wayne Allwine who was the voice of Mickey Mouse for 32 years. They were named Disney Legends in 2008.
