Born in Huntington Co., IN, she was a Registered Nurse. She was a graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, past president of Lafayette Place Neighborhood Association, founding member of Southside Business Group, Concerned Citizen Watch and Cadet Nurse Corp of United States.

Survivors include husband, Jack V. Allen of Fort Wayne; sister, Norma Lou Bosworth of Portland; brother, Kenneth C. Kline of Markle.

Services were entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
