SVOBODA, Leona M. (Age 81) Entered into rest on July 13, 2014. She was born November 1, 1932 to John and Pauline Neiwert of Burley, Idaho. She graduated from Hayburn High, near Burley, and then moved to Spokane where she attended Kinman Business University. Shortly after her graduation, she met Dale Svoboda, her loving husband of 61 years. Together they raised three boys, Dale Jr., Greg and Scott. She loved to be around friends and family; she also loved tending her garden. She worked in the insurance industry during her professional career. She was a member of Hamblin Park Presbyterian Church, and had been a member of the Spokane Yacht Club for 25 years and had served as Secretary. She wintered yearly in Yuma, Arizona for 19 years with her husband, making many friends. She traveled the world with family and friends. The eldest of her siblings, she is survived by her husband and sons, all of Spokane, her mother, Pauline Neiwert, sisters Dorothy Schenk of Burley, Idaho, Judy Batman of Sullivan, Indiana, Julie Woodford of Rupert, Idaho, and her brothers Garold Neiwert of American Falls, Idaho and John Neiwert of Hazelton, Idaho. She also has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, on Friday, July 18, at 11:30 AM.
