While Royal's grave stone states he was born in 1876, His great Aunt's notebook records have July 19, 1877 as his birth date. He married Louise Behrens on December 25, 1907 and they had 5 children:
1) Royal Prentice (Infant)
2) Royal E Prentice (Infant)
3) Louise Florence Prentice married Frank J.Tschohl in 1933
4) Sylvester A. Prentice married Frances C. McDaniel in 1940
5) Lawrence H. Prentice married Margery Ann Gray in 1945.

Royal Prentice's parents were Edwin A Prentice (d Feb 17 1899) married Florence Louise Bowe (1857-1923) Mar 29, 1876. His mother then married Victor A. Raymond.
