Mrs. Glenda Faye Lanigan, age 71 of Fieldale, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Sovah Health of Martinsville. She was born in Stuart on February 27, 1948 to the late John Henry McBride and Lottie Hensley McBride. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Rakes; and a brother, Glen McBride.
Surviving are her husband, William Lanigan of Martinsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Dean Shough of Bassett; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Jennifer Jones of Bassett, Butch Lanigan of Martinsville; eight grandchildren, Leah, Devin, Dylan, Drayden, and Landri Jones, Erin and Trey Lanigan, Blake Smith; three great grandchildren, Lindy Moore, Dawson Moore, Harper Leigh Jones; three brothers, Billy McBride of Bassett, Walter McBride of Bassett, Buck McBride of Woolwine; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Hensley-McBride Family Cemetery.
