He was employed as a Lab Technician for the DuPont Company, Chestnut Run Site where he retired following many years service. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Survived by his five children, Cheryl L. Abhau, James E. Abhau, Jr. and his wife Casey, Jeff Abhau and his wife Rosalee all of Pennsville, Lisa Lyons Keller of PA, and Billy Lyons of FL and his wife, Sharon grandchildren, Alex, Chelsea, James III, Dylan, Amanda, Erica, Gregory, Jessica, James and John, great grandchildren, Melony, Tommi, Maggie, and Christopher.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Lutz Abhau and a sister, Doris Wells.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday June 17, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
