Inez L. Thompson, 84 of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 03, 2019 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral service was held at noon on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Brother Jeremy Watts and Josh Vance officiating. Burial was followed at the Stroud Cemetery, Wilsondale, WV. She was born on November 28, 1934, the daughter of the late Jesse and Goldie Stroud Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ancel D. Thompson; Monroe Osborne, which was the father of their five children; Joseph C. Watts; two sister Sylvia Maynard and Eulah M. Copley; and brother Thomas E. Maynard (Mary). Inez was a faithful Christian and attended Riverbend Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter Debbie R. Watts (Jerry), four sons Gary A. Osborne (Deloris), William Osborne (Judy), Dwight Osborne, and Timothy Osborne (Victoria); 12 grandchildren 19 Great-grandchildren; sister, Nary Maynard (Rex) two brothers, Jesse Maynard Jr. (Carolyn) and Victor Maynard (Kimberly); two very special friends, June Williamson and Rosalie Dickerson and a host of family and friends too numerous to count. The family would like to send a special thanks to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for the compassion and care the staff showed.
