She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Powell Sr.; sons, Thomas Lee Powell and Charles B. Powell Jr. (Ann).
She is survived by her children, Brenda C. White (Stanley), Michael Powell (Susan) and Richard Powell (Judy); 15 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, Va.
