Jean, Andreas' 4th child was married to the German-born, (Henricus Reichard) Hendry Richards in 1750 in Anson/Lincoln County, North Carolina. They had two children, John and Lizzie Richards. While farming in Lincoln County, Hendry was killed in a Cherokee raid in 1757. In a family letter, she was referred to as the 'widow Richards.' She was married to William Lewin/Lawing around 1760 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, where she had grown up. William Lawing took an oath in Mecklenburg Court of Common Pleas & Quarter Sessions that John Richards was his stepson. She and William are thought to have had nine children.
