Mrs. Linda Walker Hayes, age 71, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday May 04, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Hayes was born November 19, 1947 in Jeff Davis County to the late Clifford Walker and the late Loudine Partin Walker.
She was a retired U.S. Postal Carrier and a member of Union Springs Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher and church pianist for 61 years starting at the age of ten years old.
She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Angela Hayes and infant brother, Clinton Walker.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Hayes of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Deana H. and Rodney Gilliland of Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Natalie Hayes of Hazlehurst; brother, Howard Walker of Denton; one granddaughter, Haylee Hayes; two grandsons, Ty Sauceman and Hamp Hayes; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at 11:00am at Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Merle Webster and Rev. Brad Waters officiating. The Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.
