She was a retired U.S. Postal Carrier and a member of Union Springs Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher and church pianist for 61 years starting at the age of ten years old.
She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Angela Hayes and infant brother, Clinton Walker.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Hayes of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Deana H. and Rodney Gilliland of Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Natalie Hayes of Hazlehurst; brother, Howard Walker of Denton; one granddaughter, Haylee Hayes; two grandsons, Ty Sauceman and Hamp Hayes; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at 11:00am at Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Merle Webster and Rev. Brad Waters officiating. The Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Linda Walker Hayes, age 71, of Hazlehurst.
