TUCKER, MRS. NELL MOORE, age 81, of Vestavia Hills, AL, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2002. She was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, but was a member of Ruhama Baptist Church throughout her married life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Mert" Tucker; parents, Ben and Arie Moore; brothers, Leroy Moore, Joy Moore and Theo Moore, all of Leeds; sister, Bennie Moore of Leeds; and son, Tommy Tucker.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Reed (Sam) of Vestavia Hills; granddaughters, Teresa Tucker of Birmingham and Haley Myers of Vestavia Hills; grandson, Joshua Reed of Vestavia Hills; sisters, Mary Moore, Grace Moore, and Henry Price, all of Leeds; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Shades Mountain Baptist Church Building Fund, 2017 Columbiana Rd., Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 in memory of Nell Tucker. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) in Homewood.
