Carolyn Derricott, 80, of Brookings, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 15, 2019. She was born November 12, 1938, in Portland, Oregon, to Ralph A. Evans and Ethel Nadeau Evans.
She married Don Ray Derricott on June 20, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Carolyn lived in Bingham, Utah until she was 13, and then moved to Sandy, UT. She graduated from Jordan High School. She received her teaching degree from BYU. She was very active in the Girl Scouts and the LDS Church. She also earned a master's degree in Media and Administration. Carolyn enjoyed fishing and could always find a reason for a party. She retired in 1995 and relocated to Brookings, Oregon. She and Don bought Riverside RV Resort and lived their dream along the Chetco River.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, her grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don Derricott on June 6, 2017; also by her parents Ralph Evans on August 1, 1975, and Ethel Nadeau Evans on June 3, 2012.
