She was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Waitzel and Harriett Shelton Ramsey and is also preceded by three sisters and three brothers. Alice was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Bend Baptist Church.
Survivors included one daughter, Peggy Honeycutt; three sons, David Honeycutt and wife, Dorothy, Paul Honeycutt and wife, Joann, Woodrow Honeycutt and wife, Grace, all of Mars Hill; ten grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; four stepgreat-grandchildren; several nephews; and a Special Friend, Bascom Whitt.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The Rev. Kenneth Parker officiated. Burial followed in the Honeycutt Family Cemetery. The family received friends from 12 to 2 p.m. prior the service at the funeral home.
