Mr. Clinton Calvin "Buster" Becvar age 68 of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. Mr. Becvar was born and raised in Dime Box, Texas on March 9, 1939. Mr. Becvar was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Becvar retired from Namasco Steel Company in Houston in 2001. After retiring, he and his wife Mary moved to Crockett. Mr. Becvar was a member of the Lutheran Church in Crockett and he enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Mary Becvar, of Crockett; sons Keith Becvar and wife Rhonda, of Waller and Kent Becvar and wife Christina, of Giddings; grandchildren Brian and Britni Becvar, of Waller and Joseph and David Becvar, of Giddings; step-children Mike Bush, of Sealy, Matthew Bush, of Alvin, Susan Hudman and husband Gary, of Cypress and Anita Brown, of Alvin; 15 grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn Simek and husband James, of Okla.; sister-in-law Flora Becvar, of Dime Box; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents George Becvar and Myrl McClellan; and brother Bobby Becvar.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clinton Calvin "Buster" Becvar were held Saturday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Knobloch officiating. Interment followed in the Latexo Cemetery.
