Eric Alan Floden, 20, of Slater, died Wednesday at home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The death was ruled a suicide. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Mr. Floden, a carpenter, was born in Des Moines and lived in Slater all his life.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Karen Floden of Slater; a sister, Angelia Steffey of Ames; and his grandmother, Dora Allen of Humboldt.
