Funeral services for Grady Edward "Ed" Blair, 63, of Heflin were held September 29, at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Denkins officiating.
Burial was at Heflin City Cemetery. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Blair died September 27, at Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 17, 1943. Mr. Blair, a lifelong resident of Cleburne County was a member of the Heflin City Council and New Harmony Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school for 30 years.
He was retired from Liberty National Insurance Co. and was preceded in death by his father, John L. Blair.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Blair, of Heflin, Ala.; his mother, Ruby Pritchett, of Oxford, Ala.; a daughter, Amy and husband, Josh Williams, of Carrollton, Ga.; a son, Anthony and wife, Cathy Blair, of Lincoln, Ala.; four sisters, Freeda Day, Fruithurst, Ala., Mary Phillips, Ohatchee, Ala., Kathy Jacks, Anniston, Ala., Nina Barnes, Grand Ledge, Mich.; and four brothers, John Blair, Anniston, Randy Pritchett, Oxford, Donnie Pritchett, Anniston, and Chris Pritchett, of Oxford. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Fleming, David Winston Bryant, Jeremy Pritchett, David Blair, Charles Phillips and Joseph Day.
