She earned a bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Illinois and was a retired secretary and bookkeeper for Malcolm Moss, San Francisco, CA. She was a member of The First Church of Christ Scientists in Boston, MA, Church Women United, Sierra Club, Centennial Club and the University of Mississippi Campus Ministry. She is survived by a brother, James W. Saunders of Eau Claire; and by a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.
