CHAMPAIGN – Celebration of life memorial services for Margaret Jean Rost, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Second Presbyterian Church, 313 N. East St., Bloomington, Illinois.
Mrs. Rost , formerly of Bloomington-Normal, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Champaign. The Rost family is being assisted by Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.
She was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Bloomington, a daughter of Roy and Ellen (Carlson) Codding. She married Richard John Rost on Dec. 26, 1949, in Bloomington. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Rost was employed by M & J Sales in Bloomington. She attended Illinois State University in Normal. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and being with family.
Mrs. Rost is survived by two sons; one daughter; one brother, James Codding of Bloomington; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
