Murder Victim:
Skyler was the unborn baby of Rhoni Reyne Reuter, of Deerfield, formerly of Potosi. Rhoni was almost 7 months pregnant when she and Skyler died together, suddenly, on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at their Deerfield condo. They were both shot to death by Marni Yang, an ex friend of Rhoni's boyfriend, Shaun Gayle, a former football player for the Chicago Bears. As she was being shot, Rhoni covered her abdomen with her left arm, trying to protect her unborn daughter, Skyler, according to Dr. Manny Montez, the forensic pathologist who conducted Reuter’s autopsy.
Visitation and mass will be conducted at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson, Wisconsin, Monday morning at 10pm, October 8, 2007. Burial will follow at Saint Thomas Cemetery in Potosi, Wisconsin.
