The date of death is not actually known. The notice of cremation is indicated only because there is no option in sharing that his place of burial is. Clayton disappeared from his home where he resided with his wife, Nellie Bower Hibbs and 10 month old baby son, Robert Bower Hibbs. Clayton was never seen again. His wife never heard from him nor knew what had happened to him. His parents lived in Garden City, Kansas and by all accounts there are no records that there was any contact from him when both parents passed away in 1954 and 1955. All surviving siblings were listed in their obituaries but Clayton was not.
