A retired cattleman and a lifelong resident of Woodville, Miss., he died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Field Memorial Community Hospital. He was 68, born July 10, 1941, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Woodville United Methodist Church, Woodville, on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Rodney Smith. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Waddell Bell, of Woodville; three daughters, Laura Katherine Bell Littleton and husband David, and Amy Renee Bell Greer and husband Thomas, all of Woodville, and Lee Ann Bell Fortenberry and husband Jason, of Amite; eight grandchildren, Taylor and Luke Littleton, and Madelen, Laramie and Haze Greer, all of Woodville, and Mattie, Wil and Presley Fortenberry, of Amite; two brothers, Douglas Bell and John Bell, both of Woodville; and a dedicated caregiver, Ashley Stanley, of Woodville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ellis Bell Sr. and Mary Katherine Morris Bell; and a brother, David Louis Bell. Pallbearers will be Samuel Smith, David Bell, George Martens, John Dale, Ned, Chargois, Bran Dawson, Luke Littleton and Overton Nicholas. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Lessley Hunting Club and Dr. L.J. Owens. He was a member of the Lessley Hunting Club, where he was president for many years and was also a member of Woodville United Methodist Church and the Mississippi Cattleman Association.
