Johnny Dale Hopkins, 65, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Van Buren. He was a former employee of Whirlpool. He was born November 24, 1953 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Gus and Alpha Clayborn Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ann Smith Ritchie; a brother, Keith Hopkins; and a granddaughter.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Carol Johnston Hopkins of Ozark; two daughters, Holly Hamilton of Ozark and Sherri Burns and husband Danny of Ozark; two sons, James Hopkins and wife Kellie of Ozark and Chris Gehrlein and wife Amanda of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a brother, Ray Hopkins of White Hall, Arkansas; three sisters, Gwen Hopkins of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Pat Wadley of Clarksville, and Betty Rofkahr and husband Tom of Clarksville; seven grandchildren, Kara and Jacob Burns, Cody, Kayla, and Dylan Hamilton, Laiken Hopkins, and Starlie-Belles-Hopkins; and four great grandchildren, Daniel, Kayla, Ireland, and David.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dan Williams officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
