Emily Anne Keller 13, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

She was born on November 17, 1995 in Lincoln to Cara Keller and Cory Rotschafer.

Emily was a unique little angel sent by God for a very brief time. Diagnosed at 8 months with Hurler's Syndrome; a rare genetic disorder - she was given a life expectancy of five years. In 1997, in an effort to cure the syndrome, she underwent a bone marrow transplant at the University of Minnesota Hospital. The transplant was unsuccessful. Emily was a fighter and against all medical odds enjoyed her earthly life for 13 years. Her longevity in life was attributed to all the love she received from her family and friends who knew how special she truly was.

Emily enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Going to school everyday and spending time with family and friends. She attended Humann Elementary School and currently was a 6th grader at Pound Middle School.

Everyone who came in contact with Emily was enriched. Her favorite pastime was watching her favorite videos which included Barney, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, and Toy Story. Her room was her source of comfort as well as her castle. On a daily basis Emily could be found relaxing in her recliner, enjoying fish crackers and drinking her bo- bo's. Witnessing Emily dive bomb into her pillow was a highlight of those who loved her. We will greatly miss the sound of her laughter, the Emily shuffle and playing the hello game with her. There were many people who touched Emily's life but even more lives were touched by knowing Emily.

Emily is survived by her Mother, Father, Brother Evann, Sister Delaney. Grandparents; Mark and Cathy Keller, Steve Rotschafer and Becky Sayers. Great grandparents; Josephine Keller and Doris Rotschafer; Aunt Callie and Katrina Keller; and best friend and movie buddy, Uncle Kyle Keller. Included are numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Emily was preceded in death by her great grandparents Harry and Donna Crebbin, Clifford Keller and George Rotschafer.

On behalf of Emily, special thanks and acknowledgement to the following professionals: Dr. Charles Peters - who cared for Emily for the past 11 years. Nicknamed "Miss Em", he considered Emily a miracle in life. She surpassed all medical predictions regarding the syndrome he has treated for over 20 years. Dr. Jeffrey Frazier and staff who provided wonderful care for her here in Lincoln. All the teachers and para-educators at Humann Elementary and Pound Middle School.
