Francis (Frank) Beattie Hutton III was the son of Dr. Francis Beattie Hutton Jr. and his first wife, Mary Waller Gregory Hutton. His mother died in 1917 and his father, who had remarried in 1919, died in 1930 of tuberculosis.
Frank first lived with his paternal grandfather Judge Francis Beattie Hutton in Virginia, then with his father's sister Sarah Katherine Hutton Lloyd and her husband, James T. Lloyd, in Mississippi.

A native of Abingdon, Va., he moved to Jackson in 1928. He was the son [i.e. nephew] of the late J.T. and Sarah Lloyd Hutton.
He was a member and a deacon at First Baptist Church. For 35 years he was an automobile dealer for Ford and Lincoln in the Jackson area. He had held several offices in the Automobile Associations.
Hutton was a former member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club and was active in all civic and church activities in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Holifield Hutton; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (Kay) Jones of Oxford; a son, Frank Lloyd Hutton of Jackson; two grandsons, Mac Jones and Frank Hutton; a granddaughter, Meri Katharine Jones; and three aunts.
Pallbearers were James Spain Jr., Dr. Joel Alvis, Paul Nielson Jr., R.E. McAllister, Homer Webb, Jr., Henry H. Hederman, James Hust, Henry Holifield, Paul Moak Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons and Fisher's Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and Eathan Allen, Walter E. Helms, Russ M. Johnson and Tom Ben Barrett.
Burial was in Lakewood Memorial Park with Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
