Jacob D. Apple, 63 of Arcanum, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at 12:17 a.m. at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 10, 1951 in Greenville, the son of the late Robert Franklin and Viola Murel (Arnett) Apple.

He lived in Versailles while growing up.

He worked for Dick Lavy Trucking; and served in the National Guard. He was a graduate of Greenville High School.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife: Sherry (Hart) Apple of Arcanum; his daughter and son in law: Tammy and Chris Lovett of Greenville; son and daughter in law: Rob and Robin Apple of New Madison; grandchildren: Bryce and Jayce Lovett, Steve Lovett, Ashley Lovett, Allen Lovett, Jamison Lovett, Travis Thompson, and Lindsey Ingles; sisters and brothers in law: Ruth and Dick Shurte of Fairborn, Helen and Mike Hart of Centerville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, 2 p.m., at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Terry Haworth Officiating.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or State of the Heart Hospice.
