Staff Sgt Kendall was the son of Jean Kendall and Jason Paul Lattridge, husband of Marie C Davis Kendall and father of Abby Frances.

"Veteran of the allied invasion of southern France and the fighting along the Rhine, Staff Sgt. Allen K. Lottridge, 33, a former Portland attorney, was killed in action March 18 [1945] while fighting with the 7th army, according to word received by his widow, Marie C. Lottridge...Born in Portland, Sgt Lottridge attended grade and high school at Baker [Oregon], and was graduated from the University of Oregon in 1935 with a bachelor of arts degree. He took his LL.B. degree the following year and practised law in Portland until joining the service September 15, 1943. He trained at Camp Wolters, Tex., and went overseas a year ago. He was a member of the Oregon Bar association and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

He was wounded on August 15, 1944, in the invasion of France and received the purple heart. He also had won the French Croix de Guerre and the combat infantry badge...."
