Mrs. Chambers was in the alterations business in Gadsden for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Chambers Langley; son-in-law, Wayne Gidley; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Chambers.
She is survived by her daughter, Dean Gidley; son, J.T. "Whitey" Chambers; grandchildren, Deb Hood, Janet (Jimmy) Ford, David (Toni) Chambers, Kayla (Bruce) Christian, Kevin (Robin) Langley and Kelli Langley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the ninth-floor nursing staff at GRMC and GRMC Hospice.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Collier-Butler Funeral Home
