Ned Allen Ackley, 76, of Wickliffe, Kentucky passed away at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a retired school bus driver and a member of 1st General Baptist Church in Barlow, Kentucky. Ned served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Lou Gley Ackley; daughters, Debra (Raymond) Parsons of Port Orange, Florida, Dawn Ackley of Cameron, Missouri, Deanne (Joseph Rizzo) Ackley of Oswego, Illinois and Darcee (Joseph) Sauceda of Sikeston, Missouri; son, David (Stacy) Ackley of Wickliffe, Kentucky; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Ned was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Ackley and Faye Howard Ackley; brothers, Gary Glen Ackley and Fred Robert Ackley.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Rev. Bill Adkisson and Ron Cull officiating.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
