Mr. Abell came to Kansas in 1871, and when he grew to manhood went to work for the Katy. Later he went to Jonesboro, Ark., where he worked for the Frisco and later going to Kansas City. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. M. A. Etienne, Mrs. Elizabeth Mahar and Mrs. Belle Lohoff all of Parsons and two brothers, Edward R. Abell of Kansas City and Fred W. Abell . Burial was held at Erie .
