Nathan J. Fowler's wife, Susan C. Dunsford Fowler, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives. Sh shows proof of marriage to Nathan J Fowler on May 7, 1868. She says he enlisted in Isabella, Ga and served with Co. C of the 14th GA until they surrendered at Appamattox Court House. She says he died in Nov. 1884 in Dooly County.
I tried to find his wife, and there is a family tree for Nathan J. Fowler on line. It says she was born in GA on 22 July 1852 and died in Alabama on 5 Aug 1939. There is NO Findagrave memorial page for her in St. Clair County, Al or anywhere else that I could find. Some of the children listed here were in the same family tree.
