RED LION Evans L. Snyder, 79, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 21, 2007, at 11:45 a.m. at Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of Patricia E. Snyder, whom he married July 2, 1960, and with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage. Born December 18, 1927, in Felton, he was the son of the late Curvin C. and Margaret B. (Anderson) Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a woodworker at Yorktowne Kitchens and a Crossing Guard in Red Lion Borough. He was a U.S. Army Corporal serving in the 24th Infantry division during the Korean War. He was a member of Bethlehem (Stonepile) U.M. Church in Red Lion; a member of American Legion Post #543 of Red Lion and VFW Post #1446 of Red Lion; Red Lion Senior Center; AARP; and Liberty Social Club in York. In addition to his wife, Patricia E. Snyder, he is survived by a daughter, Gisele K. Lanius and husband, David of Whitefish. Mont.; his two special little people, Kyle Evans Gwilt and Lindsey Theresa Gwilt of Pittsfield, Mass.; one aunt, Frieda Smith of Felton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Maggie, Misty, and Moby. A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Bethlehem (Stonepile) U.M. Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion. A service will follow at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with his pastor, the Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach, officiating. Burial will be at Round Hill Cemetery, Felton, with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W.
