Master Sgt. Winkels of Clarksville, TN., was with the United States Army and served in Ft. Carson, Colo., Germany, Ft. Riley, Kansas, Saudia Arabia, two tours in Korea, Ft. Campbell, Kosovo, Afganistan, Iraq, Egypt, and Ft. Hood, Texas. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was loved and respected by all of his Army buddies all over. Louis died at his home from complications of cancer at age 42.
