Life’s Work | Service | Interests: He was employed at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) as an electrical engineer in San Francisco, California, starting in 1965, retiring in 1993, when he was 58. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was an avid reader of the Book of Mormon. Roland Emery McCarthy graduated from this life peacefully on the morning of Monday, November 26, 2018, in Orem, Utah. He was 83.
Survived By: His dear wife, Albertine Mary McCarthy, of Orem, UT; his three children: Dennis Michael McCarthy, Erin Kay (McCarthy) Turgano and Steven Scott McCarthy, of Cameron Park, CA; his two stepchildren: Brenda Phyllis Holtom (Peter), of Draper, UT; Gregory Philip Gordon (Callie Jo), of Pleasant Grove, UT; his grandchildren: Michelle Ann Marie (McCarthy) Fader, Justin Patrick McCarthy, Shannon Paige McCarthy, Ryan Wesley Holtom, Lauren Ann (Holtom) Bassett, Tanner Burgess Holtom, Benjamin Geoffrey Gordon, Megan Ann Gordon, Sarah Elizabeth Gordon, Isaac Lee Gordon, and Joshua Wesley Gordon; and his great grandchildren, Castiel Carter Sirben and Wyatt Peter Bassett.
