Brenda L. (Schmidtke) Budde, age 58, of Owatonna, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park.
Memorial Services will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Henry Doyle officiating.
Intermente at St. John’s Church Cemetery, Wheeling Township, Rice County.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Brenda L., the daughter of Erwin and Eva (Rosenau) Schmidtke, was born on August 16, 1960 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School and married Paul E. Budde on April 27, 2000 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township, Rice County. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2004. She was later engaged to Lester Imker who also preceded her in death on January 10, 2017. Brenda was previously employed by Tempo and Bonanza Foods of Faribault and also by the West Concord School District. She enjoyed going to the Farmers Market, baking, cooking and scrapping with Lester.
She is survived by three siblings, Jim Schmidtke of Faribault, David (and Terry) Schmidtke of Owatonna and Diane Schmidtke (and Dick Prokopec) of Owatonna; Les’ daughter, Heidi (and Nick) Imker of Champagne, IL; four cats, Gizmo, Pancake, Smokey and Nosey; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; her fiancé, Lester; five siblings, Norbert (and Anita) Schmidtke, Irene (and Gerald) Fritsche, Gerald Schmidtke, LeRoy (and Jean) Schmidtke and Patricia (and Harold) Voelker; and one sister in law, Carolyn Schmidtke.
