Ella Mae McKnight Barringer, 51, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Ellie was born in Florence County, SC, a daughter of Elizabeth Watts Reed and the late John K. McKnight. She was a former realtor with Remax in Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and loved drawing. She was preceded in death by her father, John K. McKnight, and her step-father, Edward Reed. Surviving are her mother, Elizabeth W. Reed, of Florence; a brother, Mike (Barbara) Spears, of Florence; a sister, Sherri Byrd Reed, of Joplin, MO; a nephew, Corey Spears, of Los Angeles, CA; and a niece, Whitney (Herbie) Wilkins, of Hilton Head, SC. A Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel in Florence, SC. The family was assisted by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
